Our History
Where Puppets Say It Best!
PuppetGreetings was born during the first generation of internet video and developed into an entertainment, production and character company. Today, that history provides the foundation for an entirely new chapter.
1999
PuppetGreetings Begins
PuppetGreetings began in 1999 during the early era of consumer internet video. The original vision combined puppet characters, short-form entertainment and digital greetings that audiences could watch and share online.
2002
Puppet Greetings Entertainment, LLC
Puppet Greetings Entertainment, LLC was formally organized in California on July 17, 2002. The company supported the expanding PuppetGreetings business, original productions, business development, licensing and distribution opportunities.
2005 The Original Era
Characters, Production & Digital Distribution
PuppetGreetings developed into a real entertainment and production business encompassing original characters, puppet performances, commercial production, digital distribution, mobile entertainment, licensing, advertising and emerging-media opportunities.
2011
The Original Chapter Ends
The original Puppet Greetings Entertainment corporate chapter concluded in 2011 during a period of significant change across internet video, mobile media and user-generated entertainment. PuppetGreetings appeared on ABC’s Shark Tank, introducing the company and its digital puppet-entertainment concept to a national audience. Founder Jeff Shrewsbury subsequently negotiated an off-air deal with Mark Cuban. The experience became another important chapter in the company’s entrepreneurial history and continues to inform new ideas for the future of PuppetGreetings.
2026
The Next Chapter
PuppetGreetings returns for a new generation. The original characters, entertainment library, production experience, creative relationships and entrepreneurial vision are being brought forward through a renewed consumer platform and an expanded entertainment and production company.
